Chocolate fasting cake

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons vinegar
2/3 cup applesauce (2 tins Heinz baby applesauce should do it)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups water

Mix well all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add all the liquid ingredients: vinegar, applesauce, vanilla and water. Mix well. Pour into a greased 23cm square tin or 23cm diameter circle tin. Bake in 190ÂșC oven for 35-40 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean. When cake has cooled, dust cake with icing sugar, or ice with icing.

***Add 1-2 cups of raspberries at the end for a yummy change!***
